The Italian Initiative Group, GII, is the association representing the Italian community and its diversified interests in Brussels: business, research, innovation, services, food and agriculture. Since 1995, GII thrives to improve Italy’s image in the European capital through a better coordination of the Italian stakeholders and the establishment of a network of relations with Belgian and European Institutions.
In the latest years, GII has been promoting high-profile meetings with institutional and entrepreneurial spokesmen going through economic and business topics regarding Italy and Europe.
In 2011 GII also established the “Premio Italia-Europa” as a reward to representatives of Italian institutions and enterprises whose activities gained wide consenus in promoting Italy’s image in Europe.
The Italian Initiative Group organized, in collaboration with Deloitte and with the high patronage of the Permanent Representative of Italy to the EU, the first Strategy Council Europe, an event held on Tuesday, April 24 at the Bibliothèque Solvay in Brussels.
The first edition of the Strategy Council Europe has represented Deloitte’s contribution to facilitate a high-profile discussion regarding the future of the European project, gathering EU Institutions as well as the public affairs and business communities of the European capital.
