Meeting with Gert Jan Koopman | Director General for Budget

The virtual debate with Gert Jan Koopman, Director General for Budget, provided another important opportunity for the Members of GII to engage with the new college of commissioners and Directors-General who have been sharing their views on the EU most relevant and pressing issues.

The Director General has provided e an overview of the socio-economic implications of the coronavirus pandemic. During the conversation, topics related to the new multiannual financial framework (2021-2017) and Next Generation EU, the economic recovery instrument which will strengthen the EU long-term budget, have been discussed.
