Incontro con Thierry Breton | Commissario europeo per il mercato interno e i servizi

On Tuesday 18 July at 13:00, the Italian Initiative Group hosted Commissioner Thierry Breton for a first meeting with the Italian business community of the GII.

The Commissioner provided highlighted the main strategies proposed to create a strong and resilient industry for a more autonomous Europe. He provided valuable insights on the Net-Zero Industry Act aimed at promoting a competitive and clean tech industry, on the Critical Raw Materials Act, aimed at reducing the European energy dependency through strategies that can strengthen the whole supply chain. Europe’s technological sovereignty will be crucial for the defense and space industry, while the new Digital Market Act will be reinforcing the single market for digital services. Consolidating the communication internal market, financing the green deal transition, preparing Europe to the end of the war in Ukraine were also discussed.
