In conversation with Pietro Benassi | Italian Permanent Representative to the European Union
The meeting with Pietro Benassi, Permanent Representative to the EU, offered the Members of GII an important opportunity to engage with the Italian Institutions about the most pressing issues and main economic, political and social priorities of Italy within the European Union.
The main topics discussed were related to to current geopolitical context influenced by the war in Ukraine, in particular to the EU food and energy crisis and the need to reduce European dependence on Russian gas, as well as to the common European defense strategies and the NNRP funds and structural reforms.
